Financial Report : Treasury balance is about $900. Joe Glynn explained that when the chapter has more than $1000, we donate to the Ennis fund.

Presentation: Tom Freeman of Tektronix, Inc. gave a presentation on the measurement of televsion signals. The presentation covered the basics of Digital Video Signals, both HD and SD modes. A color bar pattern from the WVIA facility was displayed and analyzed on a Tektronix digital waveform monitor

Minutes of last meeting: The minutes of the June 9, 2004 meeting were approved as read.
Treasurer's Report: The opening balance was $1338.45 on January 1, 2004. Since then there was an expenditure of $275 for the 2003 Christmas party bill, $132.84 to buy lunch for the June meeting and we received $212 for the 2003 Chapter rebate from SBE National.
Old Business: None
New Business: The national organization wants all local to have a meeting about SBE certification. Joe Glenn proposed that the subject of our next meeting be SBE certification. The motion was passed without discussion.
Presentation: Bob Reite of Telecentral Electronics, Inc. gave a demonstration of his "Quick'n'Dirty" automation system which is a set of Perl scripts that serve as a "head end" for the XMMS audio player, which runs under the Linux operating system. (This program is being distributed free under the GNU public license, if you would like a copy, click HERE.)

New Business: Check Sakoski was presented with a plaque for 10 years of service as the SBE Chapter Two Certification Chairman.
Presentation: Chuck Sakoski gave a presentation on the SBE Certification process.

Treasurer's Report: The Treasurer was not present. The Chairman reported that there have been no transactions since the last meeting.

New Business: The menu, time and date of the Chapter 2 Christmas Party was discussed. The members present decided to have a choice of stuffed chicken breast and top ground beef. The date agreed on was December 20th, with the 13th as an alternate. The time for the Christmas party will be 7:00 PM
Presentation: A Power Point presentation titled "40 years of service" giving the history of the SBE was scheduled, but the computer failed about half way through the program. The presentation will be rescheduled for 2005.

Treasurer's Report: The Treasurer was not present until later in the meeting. The Chairman reported that there have been no transactions since the last meeting.

New Business: Election of officers and committee appointments for 2005. All incumbent officers ran unopposed.
The officers elected for 2005 are: Chairman: Joe Glynn, Vice Chairman: Peter Sakowski, Secretary: Robert Reite, Treasurer: Mark Rutkowski.
The committee chairs appointed are: Certification: Chuck Sakowski, Frequency Coridination; Ron Schacht, Webmaster: Robert Reite.
It should be noted that SBE Chapeter two does not have a newsletter editor, since the chapter does everything on the web and that the chapter does
not have a membership chair.
Presentation: Matt Masauri, our Sony Rep demonstrated the Sony XDCAM digital optical disk system.
