February 5, 2020
The meeting was called to order at 1:05 PM by Chairman Al Kornak.
Minutes of the December 19th 2019 meeting were approved as read.
Treasurer's report: After receving a $100.00 donaton the current balance is now $603.03
Old Business: Al Kornak contacted SBE Chapters 1 and 41 concerning a joint meeting but was yet to hear back from anyone.
New Business: John joined the SBE as a student member. It was suggested that a student membership to the SBE added to the scholarship awarded to a student at Johnstone College. Motion was duly made, seconded and passed by the SBE Chapter 2 membership.
Presentation: Brut Young and Martin Holmes of Rohode and Schwartz gave a presentation on IP transmission of video via unmanaged networks.
March 4, 2020
The meeting was called to order at 1:00 PM by Chairman Al Kornak.
Minutes of the February 5th 2020 meeting were approved as read.
Treasurer's report: The treasurer received a check for $25.00 and $300.00 was paid out for the scholarship.
Old Business: It was decided not to give student SBE memberships to the scolarship receipiants except on an as needed basis.
New Business: Bloomsburg University contaced the chapter regarding a bid specification for moving the WBUQ radio station.
Presentation: Anthonly Klick from Cobalt Digitial gave a presentation on RIST.
April 28, 2020
The meeting (our first virtual meeting) was called to order at 1:00 PM by Chairman Al Kornak.
Minutes of the March 4th 220 meeting were approved as read.
Treasurer's report: The treasurer was unable to get on line but left word that the balance was now $278.03
Old Business: No futher word was heard from Bloomsburg University about the bid spec.
New Business: A suggestion was made to rent a van to drive to the SBE Chapter 22 meeting on Sept 22-23, providing it does not get canceled.
Presentation: There was no presentation.
September 16, 2020
The virtual meeting was called to order at 1:00 PM by Chairman Al Kornak.
Minutes of the April 28 meeting were unavailable. Minutes will be read at the next meeting.
Treasurer's report: After receving the $310.50 chapter rebate, the current balance is now $588.53
Old Business: There was no old business.
New Business: The original SBE Chapter two bylaws were nowhere to be found. The secretary circulated via the mailing list replacment bylaws. Upon motion duly made and seconded, the bylaws were approved and will be placed on the chapter 2 web site.
Presentation: Jarred Timmins of TVU Networks gave a presentation on remote content production and distribution.
October 21, 2020
The virtual meeting was called to order at 1:10 PM by Chairman Al Kornak.
Minutes of July 22 and September 14 meetings were approved as read.
Treasurer's report: There was no activity since the last meeting so the current balance stands at $588.53
Old Business: There was no old business.
New Business: Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, there will be no Holiday Party for 2020. However one more meeting is planned for this year.
Presentation: Doug Ferber and Jacob Daniluk from Tieline gave a presentation on IP Audio Codecs
December 31, 2020
There was not a quorm present for the December 29, 2020 virtual meeting. Therefore the chairman asked via Email if anyone other than the incumbuants wanted to run. Nobody else expressed an interest within 24 hours, so the following candicates for 2021 were posted:
Ron Shacht, Hedi VanEssendelft-Roach, Darin Ide, Dan Mattern, Jon Koons, Bob Reite, San Ficti, John Klingerman, and Al Kornak.
There were no dissenting votes received by the end of day December 31, 2020.
