Chapter Two of the Society of Broadcast Engineers held its annual Christmas party on
December 15, 1997. The party was held in the TV studio in the communications wing of St.
Thomas hall at the University of Scranton.
Treasurer Joe Glynn brought the meeting to order at 7:15 PM. Joe began by thanking Pete Sakowski for arranging not only for the meeting place but also in helping with the catering arrangements. Joe also thanked and welcomed the members of Chapter one who traveled from Binghamton, NY to join us in our annual Christmas party. There was a motion from the floor to dispense with the business portion of the meeting which was seconded and carried. Joe then introduced the speakers for the evening, David J Tomassoni, Senior Internet Communications Consultant with Epix Internet Services, a division of Commonwealth Telephone and Bob Holly, a communications engineer also with Epix. They presented a very lively and interesting discussion on the various internet services and connection options provided by Epix and how these services could benefit a business, either large or small.
At the conclusion of the presentation Joe thanked our speakers and invited everyone to enjoy the party.
